TREMA! Festival de Teatro de Grupo do Recife

The diacritic used in various languages to alter the sound or indicate the independence of vowels. Controversial, little known, unnecessary, abolished by agreement, the Portuguese language is no longer the same.

Collaborative and original dramaturgical procedures. The pulse of a contemporary scene. Where are we headed? A small sample. Enjoy with moderation, Brazilian theatre is no longer the same.

This encounter stems from the desire of peers. Sharing research and knowledge drives us. To be political while being aesthetic. We create, circulate, exchange; the scene is no longer the same.

The first edition of TREMA – Recife Group Theatre Festival, aims to broaden the perspective on the work developed by theatre groups engaged in ongoing research into language in our country. It consisted of 7 days of meetings with 9 performances, 2 training sessions, and 1 documentary screening. A week of intense immersion in Recife, without any sharks. An event entirely conceived by artists.

Change the language, change the text, change the scene. Tremble!
