TREMA! Festival de Teatro de Grupo do Recife
Between October 15 and 20, Recife hosts the second edition of TREMA! – Recife Group Theatre Festival, taking place at Teatro Marco Camarotti, Teatro Barreto Júnior, and Espaço Magiluth. With ten performances and two training activities, the festival energizes Recife’s theatre scene over six days.
TREMA! – Recife Group Theatre Festival brings together theatre groups from five Brazilian states – groups engaged in ongoing research into language and artistic practices. It also proposes a discussion around the concept of group theatre and the collaborative projects developed by the companies LUME Teatro (SP), Grupo Espanca (MG), Cia Hiato (SP), A Outra Cia (BA), Cênica Cia de Repertório (PE), Teatro Inominável (RJ), Loucos e Oprimidos da Maciel (PE), and Magiluth (PE).
The festival aims to explore possibilities that respond to the needs of theatre groups, focusing on the dissemination and sharing of practices, while providing audiences with the opportunity to experience works that form an important panorama of Brazil’s contemporary theatre scene.
This edition is dedicated to the memory of Recife artist Carlos Salles.
